Dames Saving Danes Rescue was founded on the combined vision of 'Dane Savvy' Dames who all share a common passion for these gentle giants, the world’s biggest dog with hearts to match.
Wendy Clarence is a Veterinary Technologist by trade with a 15 year career in improving the well-being of animals in science by day, and rescues Great Danes and blogs about her adventures by night. Wendy is a Great Dane Foster Mom and owner.
Trish McQuhae is founder of The Ottawa Great Dane Walking Group boasting over 300 members playing an integral role in socializing our Danes. Trish is also a Great Dane Foster Mom, and owner with several years’ experience in organizing fund raising events.
Dr. Malgosia Mosielski is a dedicated and enthusiastic veterinarian with a passion for improving animal health and welfare. Malgosia also has a special interest in ophthalmology and holistic medicine and has received additional training in veterinary acupuncture, herbal medicine and food therapy.
Our foster families open both their hearts and homes to our Great Danes in need and are the crucial life link in the chain between surrender to successful adoption!
